Competition: Presidents Trophy Rd 1 - Stableford.
20 players played on a very green course Saturday in the first round of the President's Trophy. The course starting to play harder with the emerging grasses throughout the course which has a few golfers rethinking their strategies to play a good round.

A Grade was a close affair with both Gary Payne and Andrew Baker finishing with 41 points for Gary to take the count back for 1st place. Andrew played very well in his first game for a while as he has been working the past few weeks. Captain Paul Shields 3rd with 36 points after losing his ball on the 17th straight down the fairway.
B Grade was also a good result with Jim Weir finishing with 37 points and a 3 way count back for 2nd between Darrell Thompson, Jeoff Spackman and 3rd Steve Kelly in that order.
After the first round the President’s Trophy looks open for anyone to take the lead. G. Payne , A. Baker 41, J. Weir 37, P. Shields 36, D. Thompson, J. Spackman 34 and S. Kelly 34.
