Conditions: fine
Fine conditions for todays field in the second round of Presidents Trophy stableford, even though there were plenty of signs of the previous days rain. John Ball used some new clubs which obviously worked as he took out A Grade with 38 points, closely followed by Robert Hogg 37 and Gary Payne 34. B Grade saw another topsy turvy outcome with Jim Weir, after coming last the week before, firing 41 to win. Steve Kelly, after coming first the week before, mis-firing a 22 to win the NAGA (i.e. last). Ray Prior shot a 39 to come second.
There were some interesting matchplays with Russell Grigg coming from 3 down with 4 to play to defeat Hans Linford on the 20th hole, Stuart Grigg accounting for Paul Shields 2/1 and Robert Hogg defeating Les Grafton 6/4.
Next week sees the 1st round of Club Champs, as well as Monthly Medal.
