Competition: Stroke - 1st Round Club Champs

Conditions: fine
It was 1st round of Club Champs and players were out in force to do battle. The conditions were great and the course was looking a treat, well manicured and ready for some good scores. Stuart Grigg played a controlled game to fire off a gross 75/64 to take out A Grade, win the Monthly Medal and also the putting comp with 23 to establish early control of Championship race, along with 75/69 from Chris Girling. These 2 players have won the last 4 Club Champs between them and it is on again. Michael Davies had a good day 85/67 to finish 2nd and Paul Shields took out 3rd with another consistent round of 83/69. Rick Wendland won B Grade with 87/68 from Ray Prior 98/70 and Tim Clifton 90/71. Special mention to Elaine Grigg who scored 94/63 for the best net round by anyone on the day and a PB at Two Wells.
Matchplays saw Chris Girling defeat Blue Bowden, Michael Dimasi d Jake Bowden and Yogi Frencken d Adam Bail.
