Competition: Stroke - Open Day

Conditions: Fine
53 players gathered at Two Wells for Open Day from all around the mid-North including Clare, Saddleworth, Hamley Bridge, Balaklava, North Lakes and some new faces from Highercombe and Tea Tree Gully. Conditions were fine and the course was in great condition. Bowdie Bradwell from Highercombe was the outstanding player with a course record equalling 70/63 on the first 18 to take out the major trophy.
Highlight of the day was Two Wells own Bobby Hogg getting a hole in one on the 6th. Two Wells players featured prominently in the trophy circle and perhaps the course showed a few visitors that the course is not as easy as they thought. The ladies did a magnificent job providing refreshments and BBQ tea, well assisted by BBQ chefs Blue Bowden plus Boony and Austin from Balaklava. Local sponsors assisted with prizes and thanks go to Wheatsheaf Hotel, Two Wells Tavern, Two Wells IGA, Virginia Meat, Noahs Crossing Veterinary Clinic, Rob Thompson from Murray Solar, Russell Grigg, Days Eggs, Coopers Brewery, Drummonds at Enfield and Michael Dimasi from Dublin Fruit and Veg for their valuable contribution in making the day a great success.
