Competition: Stroke - Monthly Medal

Conditions: Fine
The course looked in great condition as 20 players lined up for the last chance to win a monthly medal and there were some good scores posted accordingly. Michael Davies 65 in A Grade was enough to hold out Russell Grigg 67 and Yogi Frencken 68. In B Grade Steven Kelly blitzed everyone to take all, B Grade winner, Monthly Medal winner and Pro's Approach on the 18th after a ricochet from a tree. That puts Steven in the group of Medal winners with Gary Payne, Stuart Grigg and Yogi Frencken to fight out for Medal of Medals on 20 September.
Stuart Grigg won a hard fought match play with Smiffy (Ian Smith) 2 and 1 and now plays Michael Dimasi in the semi-final to see who plays Russell Grigg in the final. Now that would be a match, son against father.
Next week is Stableford, 4th round of the Presidents Trophy and contenders at this stage appear to be Robert Hogg, Ray Prior, Andrew Baker and Gary Payne.
