2011 TWO WELLS GOLF RESULTS

Conditions: Fine, Pleasant with light winds.

The course continues to show some fight with only 4 players playing to their par or better. In A Grade Vince "I've been sacked as wheel spinner" Hatch returned to the winners circle with a fighting 5 up to narrowly defeat 2 of the Grigg clan with son Simon 4 up from Father Russell also 4 up.

In B Grade John Ball played rather better than his beloved St Kilda to record a fine 7 up and make everyone take notice before the Club Champs. Still not enough to get him into A Grade, but very close. Adam Bail was 2nd with 4 up on a countback from Charlie Hogg. C Grade winner was Stephen Kelly with 6 up which earned him a spot in B Grade, which according to the very shy Stephen "that's where I should be too". John Boon came second with 5 up from Andrew Baker 4 up.

It was good to see David Bail and Mark Hansford making a return to Royal Two Wells and obviously from their scores they had a good look at a lot of the course.

Handicap Match Plays were drawn and there were some interesting match-ups such as Smith v Hall, Shields v R.Hogg, Ball v Girling, Simon Grigg v Grafton, Abbott v R.Thompson. These matchplays should be started next week as the week after is Applebee/Belcher Pinehurst and 21/5 is match against the visiting Hamley Bridge boys.
