2011 TWO WELLS GOLF RESULTS

Competition: Captains Trophy Rd 3.

No of Players: 29 men + 2 Ladies.
Conditions: Fine, Sunny and light rain.

Last Week's Two Wells Open was a huge success for the Club. I would like to again thank ALL the members who contributed in the day by either playing on the day, working on the course to prepare it, gave donations for the catering and trophies, working in the clubhouse preparing meals and serving behind the bar. WELL DONE TEAM.

Saturdays Captains Trophy Third round (everybody's favorite game) of PAR proved to rattle many and was well supported with the comment made in my group" let's play pick up" and finish this nightmare quicker. Stuart Grigg held together a solid round and won A Grade with Vince and Yogi hot on his trail to take the minor placing. Robert Thompson also a worthy mention as well which was due to perhaps his early start finishing just behind Yogi.

Hans Linford surprised all by winning the count back from Steve Watson to take B Grade with Steve Kelly also winning the count back for third from Adam Bail and Jeff Spackman. C Grade was dominated with a solid performance by Ray "Zorro" Prior despite scrubbing he last three holes. The group commenting that his buggy wheels were smoking from the handbrake being pulled on so tight. Rays group had to contend with a rain storm which moved in and as Darryl mentioned it would pass us which of course it did after we copped the rain for the thirteenth hole.

Next week will be Stableford only as the Exacto Cup has been cancelled for 2011 due to Owen being unable to field a team. A warm welcome is extended to any Owen golfers who wish come down and visit Two Wells and play in our daily comp.
