2013 TWO WELLS GOLF RESULTS

The day started with the sad news that one of Two Wells finest stalwarts, Clive Weller, had died on Monday 16/9/13. Our thoughts are with Clive's family at this time. He contributed a great deal to the Golf Club and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. It turned out a strange day with a sprinkle of rain greeting the players, then the weather turned steamy and the flies were out in force.
The "grey nomad", returned from his 8 week caravan trip, showed he was still a force to be reckoned with a fine net 67 to win A Grade and let everyone know the Grigg's were back. NTP's on the 12th and 15th as well, wife Elaine winning the Ladies and son Stuart taking home 2 meat trays. Les Grafton also had a good day with a net 68 to take out 2nd spot as well as clinching the Medal of Medals from Yogi and Adam.
B Grade winner" was Jeff Spackman with a net 67 from Danny Smith 68 and John Ball on 69. It was JB's 70th birthday which was acknowledged. He had started the day by getting his buggy off the trailer, driven over to the Clubhouse ready to play. Only problem was that his clubs were still in the car. A dubious start to his 70th year ??
Next week will be an early start (9:30am) because of AFL Grand Final Day, and the end of season presentation/Ambrose has been delayed to Saturday 12th October to avoid the long weekend.
