2013 TWO WELLS GOLF RESULTS

Competition: Two Man Ambrose
No of Players: 19.
Conditions: Fine, windy.

The course was still looking great, if not a bit hard, but plenty of grass. There were 19 players and one million flies out for two man ambrose comp. Paul Shields/Ian Telfer/Andrew Baker (yes, there were 3 players playing 2 man ambrose), blitzed the field to win by 5 shots and also have the best gross score of 68. Then came 3 teams all with the same score, Gary Payne/Michael Davies, Les Grafton/Bobby Hogg, John Ball/Yogi Frencken. The rest of us just made up the numbers, but a good day was had by all.

There were 16 birdies in total amongst the 9 groups and only 2 groups (Shields/Telfer/Baker & Grafton/Hogg) broke par for the day. The wind was particularly strong and quite difficult to play in , but did not stop the flies from swarming around players faces all day and prove the Aerogard to be quite ineffective.

Next week is Stableford and also Season presentation/BBQ tea after the days play.
We are looking for players to start ASAP after 11am so the day is not too long.
The week after (19/10) will be the annual AGM at 5:00pm after play.
