2 Man Ambrose saw a good field of 22 go out in fine conditions. The golf was more difficult than everyone thought and only the top 3 teams broke par on the day.
Bobby Hogg and John Ball obviously benefitted from their practice day on Thursday and came in winners from Yogi and Les
followed by Stuart and Russell. It was good to see Ian Telfer, Steven Kelly, Thommo, Ray Prior and Judi Frost out for their first hits
for the season and gives confidence for good fields when a few more players return from illness or holidays.
The grass coverage is looking good all over the course and will give Hoggy and helpers a busy time over the next couple of weeks
getting on top of the mowing required. Next week sees a Stableford competition for the 1st round of the President's Trophy.
