Competition: Stroke - Monthly Medal
No of Players: 19 Conditions: Fine
The grass was quite long on the course which made play difficult, but there were 3 players who cracked the net 70. Stuart Grigg continued his great season with another gross score under 80 again to take out A Grade from Andrew Baker by 1 stroke, a return to form by Andrew following his enforced layoff and some ordinary scores.
Smiffy (Ian Smith) showed there was still some golf left in the "old" scotsman with a fine 66 to win B Grade from Hans Linford and Gary Payne as well as take out the Monthly Medal.
Scott Francis and Simon Grigg also made "guest appearances" and it was good to see them out for a game.
The Ladies Open is on this Friday 21st August and the Two Wells Club is hoping for a good turnout to showcase the course to the visitors. Hoggy, Russell and Gary will have the course mowed to within an inch of its life by Friday to present it in the best condition possible.
