No of Players: 24 Conditions: Fine
It was a beautiful day for golf and the course was looking a treat. Medal of Medals was the main game with John Ball, Rob Thompson, John Mills and Ian Smith the contenders.
John Ball came out on top with 82/67 to take the prize. However he was beaten on the day for A Grade by Russell Grigg 81/67 with Michael Davies 3rd with 82/68.
B Grade saw 4 players put in excellent rounds with Chris Barker shooting an 85/61, the best stroke net round of the year, taking out B Grade from a very unlucky Hans Linford 87/63 which, until Chris came in, was the best stroke round of the year.
Steven Kelly and Gary Payne also had good rounds in the 80’s.
Next week is Stableford followed by the AGM after play, with Ambrose and presentation of season trophies the week after.
The decision has been made that 10th October will be the last match for the season with the course being closed after that for Summer.
