Competition: Presidents Trophy Rd 3 Stableford.

The 19 players contesting the 3rd Round of the President's Trophy found Two
Wells hard for many again this weekend with some low scores over all. The
course is quite heavy under foot and the fairways tough due to the Toro down for maintenance which resulted in some not being cut.
A Grade saw the three Amigos playing together and they finished in the Top
three with Bobby Hogg on 39 Pts, John Ball 38 Pts and Rob Thompson 37 Pts.
B Grade was a close affair with Gary Payne holding off James Weir both on 40 Pts to win the count back along with Rick Wendland finishing close behind with 37 Pts.
Steve Kelly played his match play against Chris Barker to win convincingly
6/4. Ian Gameau has returned to the fold and is looking forward to taking
all on as his handicap will be his advantage as he works the old magic again across the course. Playing with Ian and Doug on Saturday was like old times back in the mid 80's with all of us playing an array of shots both good and bad but the conversation and banter was as it was all those years ago.
As I mentioned last week July is the OPEN MONTH with the Hamley Bridge Open
on Sunday with 4 Two Wells Players attending followed by the Owen Open next
week after then TWO WELLS on the 24 Jul. I ask all members to try to commit
to supporting these Open Days and encourage others to attend the Two Wells
Open. They are great days and all clubs need the support each year. A
reminder that the Barossa Valley Adelaide Plains Vets are playing at Two
Wells on the 14 Jul 16.
