Sunday 13 Apr 2025 Presidents Round 1
<< Previous Round | Results | Next Round >>
The day was extremely warm with light winds with a very small field of dedicated players (9) contesting the first round of the Presidents Trophy.Like all country courses at the moment TWGC is in desperate need of a good slow solid drenching to get us back to the normal winter coverage we are all so used to playing on.
A quick mention for TWGC member Ryan Dimasi who was selected to go to England and play Cricket with the Poms. We wish him success and hope he returns back home safe with a wealth of knowledge behind him with the riches of the experience overseas .
Reviewing the cards from the competition with several players making their first appearance again for the season the stroke scores were interesting as a warm up to the club championships late next month.
A Grade: 81,86,91,91,87 and 90.
B Grade: 90,99,97
Stableford scores reflected the run and the soft approaches which some found interesting with solid balls struck and they just popped short of the scrapes with a few flying through, The scrapes were in fact heavy overall with a couple quite quick.
A Grade: 35,34,31,31,29 and 26.
B Grade: 34,33 and 28.
There will be no competition over Easter so I would take this moment to wish all the members and their families a happy safe Easter.
Sunday 27 April is Stroke, Putting and Monthly Medal.
A reminder that Hamley Bridge is holding their annual ANZAC DAY Ambrose following the Dawn Service at the Memorial Hall followed by breakfast. Then all will head out to the Golf Club for the competition which is a 9:00am AMBROSE followed by a BBQ.

Paul
